Can to stange.
Appearance: dark copper to light brown color with a two finger off white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: earthy to herbal tones, wet grains, subtle floral character, subtle spicy earthiness, and a little bit of dark bread
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a mild sweet to earthy spice-like quality; finishes earthy with some dark fruitiness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, good smoothness and none of the previously mentioned spicy tones have any sort of effect to the tongue
Overall: nicely done altbier I'd definitely return to.

16oz can pours a clear hold, cloudy white head. Nice nose, continental hops, herbal, grass, peppery even, light grist. Flavor follows, good tannic character too, lemony and herbal hops, green and grassy, some malt and sweet dough. Tight, crisp finish.

A4 draught, 2/8/26.
Weizen yeast nose shows big, round, fruity banana and lesser notes of bubble gum and clove. All of this wheat keeps it soft and round with a hint of toast, honey and caramel. Feels quite authentic.
Fruity with honey-dipped banana and cream of wheat. Zesty bitterness is peppery without being harshly clovey. Sweet malt and rich wheat up front dries out slightly keeping the beer very drinkable. Really appreciate how bright and flavorful this is without the need for so much malt, alcohol or thick wheat and caramel.

Can @ Broadway Dive Bar, Manhattan NYC (Aug 2025). Pours cloudy lemon yellow with a very small frothy white head, lemon peel aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel, vanilla, Belgian yeast, alcohol undertones, smooth body, long finish with some alcohol aftertaste. Quite a fine brew.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: transparent yellow color with a three finger foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: grassy to earthy & floral hops, light peppery tones in the hops; clean crackery malts underneath
Flavor: semi-sweet with the floral to spicy hop tones and balancing with the malts, mild aftertaste of peppery hops & crackers
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, semi-oily along the tongue; finishes semi-slick and light pepper
Overall: yup, it's an Italian pilsner and I believe I could come back to this.

750mL bottled Spring 2025, drunk 2/2/26, as pictured.
Oh baby, that smells wildly good! Just so much delicate, but expressive and aromatic Brett! Some rustic grain rounds it out and adds depth and balance, with a touch of delicate hop, redolent of Styrian Golding. Perfume and such from the Brett lingering.
Flavorful and chewy from the rye, nice and dry, with lovely Brett and hop. Deep texture, fluffy, natural carbonation and lingering pepper, honey and gentle, but flavorful Brett. Just a study in balance and flavor. And all this at 5.2%. They don't make many saisons, let alone beers, like this any more.
