Becher at The Roost. Looks amazing. Transparent, deep gold with head that laced with every sip. Grainy, malty nose, earthy, corn. Flavor has heirloom corn and grain, some yeast and some dough. Really nicely balanced. Soft, dry, lightly bitter finish. Really easy to drink.

$4.81 pounder from Appalachian. 05/02/25. Pint glass at home. Chili is on the menu.

Dark brown ale & cola pour, smooth lingering froth.
Strong, savory oak smoke. Cheerio & chocolate nose.
Sweet & savory, dry cocoa & subtle maple sweetness. Some acridness on the backend along with a medium herbal pith. Quick hint of citrus & black pepper.
Strong cola acidity, irritating carb, some soot.

Good but the high acid throws me off.

Becher at the roost pours a murky brown with some creamy, off white head. Nose has malt, brown sugar, very earthy, yeast, bread crust. Flavor is malt and grain, earthy like tree bark. Chewy. Medium bodied with some tannins. Feels so Schilling to me.
