Hazy golden yellow with moderate white head. Rhubarb, lemon, wheat malt, salt, and straw aroma. Mildly sweet rhubarb, red berry, wheat malt, lightly salty, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Nice, quaffable beer.

7.9% abv. Eh. This is a pretty straightforward malty brew with caramel. There’s bourbon in there, but it’s too weak. It’s okay, but to me doesn’t offer enough.

Old rating - A 750ml bottle from Dunnell's in Jersey. Pretty rare to find beers like this on the island & a special purchase at almost £20 a year ago. Pours a deep reddy brown with a small off white head. Aromas & tastes of red berries, tart, nutty, funk & brett. Very enjoyable

Pint can, 2024 vintage. Caramel malt aroma with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, marshmallow, vanilla, bourbon and oak. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and a thin ring of lacing. Starts with rich caramel, chocolate, roasted malt and oak flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick, decadent mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with marshmallow, vanilla and bourbon flavors. Pretty good, but quite sweet.
