Bottle: Poured an hazy yellow color ale with a super huge foamy white head with perfect retention. Aroma of wheat with some sourness, which may or may not be intended but is still enjoyable. Taste of wheat is pretty strong with some spices, which probably includes coriander with strong Belgian yeast also present. Finish is dry with a lingering feeling of sourness that doesn’t overshadow the rest of the beer. Body is above average and alcohol swell hidden. Really better then expected from this sometime suspicious brewery.

A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is powerful with some weird spices combined with notes of maple syrup. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of maple syrup, which pretty much totally dominates, and leads to a dry end. It is very carbonated. This, my first maple syrup beer, makes my wonder if maple syrup works well in a beer.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Hazy, pilsener golden with a rather neat, white head. Odd aroma - well it must be the maple syrup. Medium body with some sweet, fruity and rather unique flavour patterns. More unusual than really pleasant. 290806

Hazy wit with a thin white head, creamy. Light banana aroma with initial sulfury notes, a bit unpleasant, then lemon and yeast. In mouth, a sour wit without the qualities expected, just a mineral water with milk and lemon, watery bodied. Bottke at l’Autre Oeil, August 4, 2006, 3.85$

Muddy, flat, brownish kind of colour. Gak. Raspberry aroma. That’s it. Just raspberry. Quite fizzy, very light mouthfeel, and through all this just a hint of fruitiness. Where’s the malt, the balance. Heck, even the fruit isn’t that enticing.

Hazy, dirty blonde colour. Smells like a malted chocolate protein bar. Tastes like a hollowed-out Coffee Crisp before fading to a thin, light, somewhat diapery finish.

Dirty hazy brwon ale with a thin white head. Sweet berry aroma with notes of rubber or boiled cabbage. In mouth, sweet sour malt with astringent mouthfeel, rather harsh and unpleasant. Bottle bought at Jovi, 1.99, March 29, 2006.

Labeled here as Reb’ ale Bright orange-gold; nearly no head. Very sweet nose, nearly syrupy, caramel, toffee and - fruity like preserved & dried pineapple on sugar. Tastes thank God a little less sweet than the nose, but still. In fact, it has a watery MF (rather than texture) and then swallows absolutely syrupy. Aftertaste is medicinal, and again sugar-preserved pineapple. Did they use maple syrup in this one too? Or - if it exists - concentrated pineapple juice? Sorry guys, don’t like it very much.
