DryHop brews hop-centric ales, in addition to traditional, Belgian, and experimental craft beers – all only available in Lakeview and to-go in 32oz crowlers and 64oz growlers. DryHop’s kitchen menu showcases the flavors and seasonality of the brewery through unpretentious shared plates. Visiting DryHop is all about being in a brewery; feeling connected to the craft brewing and culinary worlds; and most importantly, feeling a personal connection to a community of craftsman.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a dark chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a really musty dark grain with some earthy citrus and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavor is similar with dark grains and light roast backed by light citrus and tropical fruit.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear dark brown with an earthy brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice amount roasted malts with a bit of smoke and some underlying mild chocolate. Flavor has a good amount of roasted malt, with some light spice, dark grains and a hint of chocolate.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma is full of tart lemon with some a bit of funk and citrus backing. Flavor is full of lemony tartness with a backing of sweet citrus and light funk.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours amber orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of grapefruit, pine and onion with an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has grapefruit with bitter pine and a touch of earthy onion underlying.

Aroma has lots of grapefruit and resin with a hint of onion and a hint of sweetness. Flavor has a nice bitter grapefruit and passion fruit with some onion and a bit of earthy pine.

Draft at haymarket. Tried side by side with the haymarket version. From notes. More tropical flavors than the haymarket version, but less flavor altogether. Interesting, makes me want to seek out more from these guys.

5.5% Apa. An orange amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with citrusy floral hops, orange, resinous and smooth. In mouth, a nice crisp biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, light grapefruit pulp, well balanced and quaffable. On tap at brewery.

6.5% saison. A lightly hazed amber saison with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet perfumy malt with orange pulp, banana, cloves, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with banana and cloves, berries, Juniper, a bit thin but overall, nice. On tap at brewery.

A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a beautiful complex mix of sweet chocolate, tropical fruits, guava paste, and vanilla fudge. In mouth, a smooth sweet fruity chocolate malt with light vanilla, roasted coffee grains, resinous and smooth, balanced yet interesting. On tap at brewery.
