Tap at Dryhop. Unfiltered thick orange body. Foamy, frothy white head. Kind of mediocre, the hops don’t really come out. Highly sessionable still, but doesn’t cut it for a hop forward beer. Good, but not great like the regular Shark vs. Hipster.

Tap at Dryhop. Filtered orange body. Kind of drinks like a dry dextrose IPA to me. OK, but probably not the best use of the hops. 60 IBU doesn’t really cut it here. Bitchin Camaro? More like Nice Kia.

Tap at Dryhop. Who knows what an Extra Pale Ale means besides antiquated. This one is kind of that. Filtered, so the body is clean. Decent malt depth, this would have been a lot better in 2007, but it is still kinda good now. Classical, balanced, Certainly a good beer still, but not World Class.

Tap at Dryhop. Filtered amber-orange body. Doesn’t really nail it for the style. Just a low ABV 2007 US Saison. No finesse. Bright bubblegum. Too aggressive. Watery, but not sessionable. Rare miss.

Growler courtesy of nuplastikk! Slightly hazy orange. Aroma of lime, pepper, pale bready malt. The taste is lime, grapefruit, apricot, mild pepper. Medium bodied.

Growler from Dryhop. 6.8% Summer 2017 version. Awesome, modern beer. The kaffir lime jumps out at you in the aroma, saison yeast, pepper too. Medium bodied and pretty refreshing despite the ABV. Has an almost Asian sweet pear thing going on. Lavender, lime. Pepper comes through more as it breaths, which adds even more depth. Quite an offering.

4th anniversary remake. Growler. Mosaic and Amarillo are pretty tame for the ever increasing IPA standards. Pleasant juicy Mosaic, more bitter balancing Amarillo. Straightforward, good.

Growler from the brewery. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Pretty cool interplay between the Nelson and the relatively mild saison yeast tones. Unfiltered, quite a creamy body. Really quality example of the style, the hops work really well. Almost has a corny, oat touch. Really well done, solid balance between classical sensibilities and new school flare.
