Brouwerij de Natte Gijt is opgericht door de twee broers Rudy Nordhausen en Marc Nordhausen. Rudy is de goed op hoogte van de juiste recepten en Marc zorgt voor de verkoop en de afhandeling met klantrelaties. De brouwerij heeft geen eigen locatie, maar maakt gebruik van externe bierbrouwers.

Black with dark creamy head. There's loads of sweet malty whisky in this one. The roasted, bitter malts really work well adding an almost smokey element.

Bottle at home, black beer, no head. Soooo... this has chonks of goo in it that is absolutely disgusting. When filtered i was left with half the beer, aroma is alcohol, barrel, wood, malt, fruit, bourbon. Taste is the same, alcohol, wood, bourbon, malt, fruit. If not for the loss of half the bottle too goo this was quite good

Omg i didnt know they would stop... i will miss this brewery. Darker orange beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, hops, malt, pine. Taste is the same, bitter, dry, pine, resin, hops, citrus, very nice and a solid farewell.

Hazy golden colour with big fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have lots of orange peel and oils. Fluffy head but almost no carbonation. Some cardboard notes

Bottled. Black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, some toffee and mild wooden tones. Flavour is chocolaty, roasted, some coffee and mild alcohol tones to it. Fermented quite dry.

Bottle. Color: Black, very thin light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and boozy Whiskey notes. Taste: Roasted malt, subtle smoke and boozy Whiskey notes, some umami and coffee, lightly salty and minerals. Earthy. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Nicely balanced.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before October 2024. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity and a little smoky-medicinal aroma of dark chocolate, hazelnut, coffee, fruity whisky, some peat and hints of green apple. Quite sweet, malty, fairly roasty, gently smoky-medicinal and rather fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, roasted hazelnut, licorice, fruity whisky, peat and traces of green apple, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Brilliant BA RIS, great whisky flavours meet a base beer that gets better every time. It's a shame they stop brewing after having reached their peak.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before December 2023. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, fairly fruity-resiny aroma of tropical fruits, blueberry, dark chocolate, coffee and light hazelnut. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty, rather fruity taste of caramel, milk chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, tropical fruits and blueberry, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely BIPA, great balance, incredibly smooth.
