Can: Poured a light black color stout with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt with some black chocolate notes is enticing enough. Taste is a mix of light roasted malt with some black chocolate notes and light residuals sugar notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Easy drinking and enjoyable enough for a style that isn’t brewed enough.

On tap at the Gahan House, Halifax, NS A cloudy amber pour in a tulip glass with a thin white head; tart, gooseberry taste, with some farmyard in the background, but surprisingly drinkable, with a clean crisp finish.

Touch of amber, and with just a thin head. The aroma is a bit hoppy, toasty. On the palate, this is toasty, quite bitter. Doesn’t really jump out with a lot of great character - certainly the hops lack brightness - but the malts aren’t bad and overall you can enjoy a pint of it.
