Another exceptional beer from Indie. Thank you! Beautiful smell of apricots and wheat. Nice solid golden colour, thin head that breaks down fairly quickly. Light on the palate, full malt flavour.

(Draught at brewpub, Sept 17 2013) Pours amber with a white head. Aroma wood and grain and a little tequila, not much citrus or hops on the nose up front but there might be a hint buried in there. Flavour is slightly sweet at first, caramel malt, lime, orange rind, then a real wood/tequila feel builds with a touch of booziness. Finish has a nutty character, bit of a citrus tang, metallic overtone. Dry but not very bitter. Body light and slightly watery, carbonation felt "metallic". I can’t say the elements really came together for me, it seemed muddled and unsure of what it wanted to be, even though in principle I like the individual components.

(Draught at the brewpub, Sept 17 2013) Pours very hazy dark brownish gold. Aroma sour cherry-forward, with raspberry and a little blackberry, no real yeast character. Flavour strongly sweet-tart, raspberries at the start, powdery slightly funky yeast in the mid-palate, then sour cherry tartness towards the finish. Finish is quite grainy, fairly dry, lightly bitter, grisette character. Body fairly light, carbonation also light but sharp on the finish. Liked this one, a good grisette with nice extraction of berry flavours from all the fresh fruit additions. Refreshing. I wanted a bit more blackberry, but that could just be my palate.

(Draught at the brewpub, Sept 17 2013) Pours a pale brown, slightly murky, little white head. Aroma almost absent at first, just a tiny sour character and a little grain, but with warmth a woody bourbon character shows up. Flavour interesting, lightly sour grain at first, then charred wood, whiskey and grain, before fading back into sour at the finish. Body medium, average carb. An interesting beer, my first of the style, I can see the appeal. I think it could’ve been more sour, more complex, but still good as is.

(Draught at brewpub, Sept 17 2013) Pours black, quite a large tan head of dense froth, lots of lace. Aroma is big and hop-forward, fresh pine, leaves and citrus fruit, very little malt making it past the hops in the nose. Flavour starts with those leafy, citrusy hops as well and then the nice roasted/dark malts come through, a bit of chocolate playing nicely with the green hops. There’s a fair amount of hop bitterness in the finish, but also dry roasted malt notes. Body medium-full, somewhat oily, carb creamy and rich. This was a superb black IPA, no matter what one chooses to call it - the balance of the hops and malt and overall feel of the beer were bang on. Made me stay at the bar just to have a full glass...

(Draught at brewpub, Sept 17 2013) Pours a slightly hazed deep orange colour with a small, fine white head - dark for a tripel. Smells like, well...a vanilla donut! Flavour follows, sweet up front, vanilla, candy sugar, fills in with a bit of yeasty doughy character, light hopping on the back for bitterness, no real boozy character. Medium-full body, very soft carbonation. This was quite a fun beer, and tasty too, so compliments to the brewer. I just don’t think I could survive much more than a sampler.

Nice light Belgian sour. Like a flander’s blonde if there was such thing. Pours blonde with good lacing and head. Some sour cherries and some crab apple. Nice finish, light sour. Soft carbonation on tap. Strong rye notes even out the sourness here. Nice light sour. On tap at Brewpub.

Decent IPA with grapefruit astringency but not huge on the citrus side of fruit. Pours cloudy orange without head or lacing on cask. Light bitter finish. Had at the brewpub’s cask event for Toronto Beer Week.

Decently integrated pumpkin ale. Light pumpkin with light clove. Some Belgian yeast comes through here. Cloudy dark red pour. Light sweet finish. On cask at cask event at brewpub for Toronto Beer Week.

Kind of odd for a strong stout. Barrel is well-integrated but I’m not sure what’s going on with the rest of this. Pours clear reddish dark brown with fizzy soda-like bubbles. Some sweet malt as well but no roast and only minimal bitterness on finish. Soft carbonation. On tap at C’est What Craft Beer Festival.
