On tap at source. Pours jet black with a thin off white head clinging around the glass. Aroma is liquorice, dank hop, roast malt, bit of coffee. Taste is chocolate, coffee, liquorice bought back with some sharp dank hop leading to a dry finish. Good stuff!

Can pour into pub glass shared by AirForceHops (thanks, Chris!). Appearance is deeply hazy light brown with tons of effervescent sparkle, finger-width off-white head with nice retention and great lacing. Aroma is rye. Taste is as aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, one dimensional. I’m usually a big fan of rye but as a complement to something else. Fair.

16 oz can. Aroma of rye grain, weak citrus. The flavor is mild rye, light citrus, slight earthy. Not totally bland but could use another element.

Can pour into pub glass shared by AirForceHops (thanks, Chris!). Appearance is hazy, golden yellow-brown (like honey) with decent sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is dank, wet leaves, fruit. Taste is as aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering bitterness. Overall, good for an IPA before west coast and NEIPA revolutions.

16 oz can. Aroma of pine, grass, and indeed a tad dank. Flavor had a bit of grass, earthy bitterness. Mild malt backbone. Some balance. Average.

Fresh can. Aroma has the ancho hidden under roast and slight chocolate. The chili pepper is pretty subtle. Very mild spice to break up the sweet chocolate and roast. Body is medium plus with a creamy texture. Nice!
