Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a clear copper mahogany colored body supports a thin ring of off white bubbles. The aroma offers up blunted notes of earthy tobacco, chocolate and then hints of dark fruity esters. The taste delivers smooth sweet sugar stewed dates and plums bleeding into a bit of earthy tobacco and chocolate. Interesting blend of flavours with virtually no sense of the huge ABV.

12/11/2024. Bottle shared by SHIG, cheers! Pours clear very dark amber brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is warming, boozy, toffee, biscuit, tobacco, honeycomb, chocolate, rye bread, fruity notes. Quite sweet with mild bitterness. Full bodied, smooth, low carbonation. Very nice long sipper.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 18/10/24. Deep mahogany brown with a light beige head. Nose is ripe dark fruits, tobacco, herb, dates, figs, chocolate. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, caramel, light booze, spice, dates, prunes, sticky toffee fudge, mellow bourbon, honey. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid sipper ... goes down easy for 15%.
