33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Pitch black color, brown head. Aroma’s: Hard roasted malts, roasted coffee, but also resinous hops, somewhat skunky. Bit more sweetness retronasal. Flavor is medium bitter with lots of roast, only a hint of sweetness. Velvetty mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Body is medium. Finishes a bit dry, with lots of ash & roast. Pretty good.

Bottle at Evening Star Brighton. Clear pale gold with thick lasting white head. Fresh hoppy aroma. Light tangerine aroma. Yep lovely tasty zesty zippy bright golden ale with plenty of hops. I bet on cask in good nick this would be outstanding. Still pretty damn good

Black...good frothy deep tan head with very good lacing
Aroma - dark soft roast malts...dark fruits..smooth aroma....slight hint of liquorice and coffee...quite light with little alcohol in the nose
Taste - Soft dark rich malts...some dark fruits...light burnt wood...touch of dark chocolate...bit buttery toffee note....some fruity bitter hedgerow hops in the background...not particularly complex but alcohol very well masked
Palate Medium body...bit thinner than expected...very smooth and creamy palate. Finish - more dark roast comes through...quite dry...some meaty malts...slight saltiness...lingering soft roast and bitter chocolate
Overall - Easy drinking for an impy stout..the alochol is particuarly well hidden. Quite soft flavours here, nothing aggressive....I want a bit more going on though

On tap at Craft. Opaque black beer, frothy pale tan head. Smooth palate, light and semi dry. Very mild carbonation. Nice dark chocolatey malt base. Nice balance of red fruits, cherry, raspberry. Semi dry finish with mild pine. Pretty good stuff!

Hazy pale gold beer, tidy white head. Light semi dry palate. Very mild carbonation. Nice hops - floral with a mild fruity citrus. Orange, mild grapefruit and a little marmalade. Semi dry finish. Decent.

Bottled @ home, BB Jan 2013. Hazy to cloudy amber color, big frothy head. Lovely aroma of fresh hop, bit citrus, bit peach, slight flowery. Bitter and fruity sweet taste. Crisp bitter finish. Just 5.7%, very tasteful. Simple, elegant, very good IPA.

Bottle shared with Nick at the Euston Tap, London on my birthday. Pours hazy red-golden-brown with a soft head. Some pine and toast in the nose. Big sweet flavor with some ripe fruits, grapefruit especially, sweet bread and pine. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet and resinous bitter finish, with lots of ripe citrus, caramel, toast and grass. The balance could be better, as right now it seems a bit too sweet.

Bottled at Monk’s Whisky Paradise, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, small head. Fruity nose with citrus and peach. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Spun sugar, grapefruit and salt. Mildly resiny bitterness.

Aroma of citrus hops, juicy fruits, tropical fruits, some orange, bit of grapefruit, sweet juicy malts, smooth juicy aroma, nothing astringent, great aroma and quite complex
Taste of sweet juicy citrus fruity hops, light grassy bitter hop just in the background, soft orange zest, orange, some grapefruit, tangerine, soft sweet malts, great balance of hops flavours, WOW, complex,alcohol so well hidden - until bottom of glass, dangerously drinkable
Palate - soft carb, medium body, lovely juicy fruit palate, smooth, just the right bittersweet zest balance for me. Finish - as main flavour..smooth..cleans off palate gently...super palate
Overall - A wonderful strong IPA, not sure it’s a DIPA but I don’t care. This is world-class stuff. I must must try this on cask.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a brown head. Malt and caramel aroma with light toffee. Malt and toffee flavor with caramel and light vanilla. Medium bodied. Malt and toffee lingers with caramel and backing hops.
