Pour is a cloudy very light blonde with a small fizzy what head. Aroma is a little lemon with a little rubber. Flavor is a slight toasted note with a minor bitterness. Very watery and thin. Only available at Quick Trip gas stations if you want to give it a try.
Decent if subdude wheat.

Notes from September 2009 Well that was about the easiest wax cap I've ever encountered. A little taste of Oklahoma thanks to russpowell. Kept in the fridge ever since. :) Poured into a lush-sized tulip. Bottle pop was less the subtle. The pour spritzed like soda. A long, but thin off-white/ashy head comes & goes, leaving the beer naked & looking flat. A lightly steeped tea colored body, just slightly murky. Initial smell is peppery wheat & apple, followed by a good bit of lemon, & then honey. The end of it is consumed in a macerated gas of leaves & twigs sprinkled with a little coriander. Smells a little big for 4.7%. Taste is initially hampered by the intense carbonation. Salty wheat, & very doughy(but lacking in body). Mild, muddled spices, menthol & copper sort of hop effect, & some lingering yeasty bread on the finish. Feels lagered. The prickly carbonation grew on me, but the menthol wore out it's welcome early, & there just wasn't too much to focus on in total. Burps up like 7-UP... I think American-styled wheat beers are very spotty, but at the same time, I don't think I've ever turned one down. ;)

Notes from September 2009 Beer number three today on my annual Friday fall fridge frolic. Same fat tulip glass, same comfy chair. Another wax top courtesy of russpowell. :) The open bottle smokes for a bit as I wait on the microwave to deliver my breakfast. Turbid/creamy pour, settles into an appetizing dark & cloudy rust/honey brown beer. An inch of velvet-soft, cream-colored head lays on top like a throw pillow. Cheerio/Mini-Wheats sort of smell wafting off the top. A little carmelization & very light chocolate. Sweaty, mild semi-citrus hops, pleasant doughiness. I'm anticipating a sweet red ale. First thing I notice, is the carbonation is way lower then the previous Marshall beer I just had. There is a constant froth, a build up of body, that delivers more of a meal, & less of a sizzle then I was expecting. Taste is big on dry biscuits & earthy, though calm & considerate hops. Some charred malt in there, bittering up what the hops gave up in favor of position. Barely peppery, & tasting of some ash. Flavor is drawn a little thin, bit the earthy/dirty qualities seem to fill the gaps some. Slightly itchy malt, seemingly calcified water makes the style pretty obvious. Alcohol is pretty negligible. Feel, more then the actual flavor is what sells it. A quencher with quite decent flavor too. :)
From backlog. Can, from a truckstop in Oklahoma. Straight fromthe Can. Malts, hops, yeast, pine, grain, herbal, some bitterness.

On tap at Marshall, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out soft bourbon barrels and medium roast, with some chaotic booziness in back. Flavour is dominated by the whiskey barrels, with plenty of bourbon, boozey hotness and a rather thin malt backbone given the size of this. Needs some more body and more refinement. As is, it's alright.

On tap at Marshall, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bittering earthy hops and light toasted malt — harsh and jagged. Flavour is harsh, with bitter earthy hops, toasted malt, and a general chaotic booziness. This doesn't work. It's not a disaster but how is this rated so highly? This needs serious work.

On tap at Marshall, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out oily resins, pine, oats, and some chalk. Flavour is clean and vibrant, with piney hops, some tanginess and some dankness, and a hearty oat character. That's surprisingly nice on the hop expression, finishing tangy, bitter, and piney. Good stuff.
