Description
The people behind Pale Fire Brewing Co. love the moment creativity is sparked and the fact that there is generally a great beer close by. The big idea, scribbled first on a bar napkin. Friends noodling around guitars, who suddenly realize they’ve hit on something great. Stories, told around a campfire, when nobody has a clue what time it is. Great beer is there.

In 2013, a space in a renovated Ice House in downtown Harrisonburg became available. It was perfect; the wheels were in motion. Pale Fire Brewing Co. opened in April 2015.

Pale Fire beer is currently distributed in Virginia by Virginia Eagle in Harrisonburg, Blacksburg, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Winchester and Northern Virginia; and also by Specialty Beverage in Richmond, Roanoke, and Tidewater. You can also find Pale Fire beer in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, distributed by Legends Limited. Our beer is available in 1/6 barrel and 1/2 barrel kegs, 12oz bottles, and small runs of 16oz cans.

Visit our Tap Room, which is open daily at 1pm.

Pale Fire Brewing Co. is part of the Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail and the Shenandoah Spirits Trail.

New rating. Tap at brewery. Pours reddish with good lacing. Flavor is caramel, brown leaves, earth. Fine but nothing extraordinary. Not changing my point allocation. Old rating from October 2016: Taproom. Cville. Pours red. Taste is earthy malts, bitter leaves. Kinda bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Some light citrus and a little resin. Mostly bitter hops without much fresh aroma - if this is Northwest hops, they aren’t that strong or fresh. Hazy golden pour with decent lacing. Light bitter finish. Tap at Meridian Pint.
