Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Another pour that suggests perry color. Aroma is lite bourbon/vanilla notes. Very lite. Near med body. I’m getting the idea this is "artificially flavored" rather than BA. There’s the light b/v, and suggestions of smoke. My mouth is getting that bourbon/oak/BA coating. So whatever it is, nicely done. It’s actually rather subtle, and a major improvement on "cider". If you like this, try the Thistly Cross BA cider.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. ? Pours sort of perry color. Aroma suggests vanilla? Med minus body. Flavor is crisp and clean. Definitely apple. Not very tart. Not very sweet either. The flavor is nice, but for me it’s rather light. A bit more apple skin might be a good thing. It’s growing on me.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours sort of perry color with a transient fizzy white head. Aroma is sweetish pear. But the flavor has a lot of apple. It seems to alternate between crisp and tart. Not sure this should be under the perry style. Back and forth. Apple/pear. Not bad. Perhaps a bit sweet. Always something new under the sun.

Bottle: Clear gold with a quick white head. Scent is woody, red apple-peel. Taste is sweet red apple, nuts, vanilla. Only the slightest mild bourbon essence. Not outstanding, but OK.

Kentucky Friend Charleston Trip Beer #51. 12 ounce bottle from Shenanigans, Lexington. Pours a clear amber color with a bit of a head. Aroma of sweet apples, mild bourbon and a grainy, almost gluey note. The taste is nutty notes, bourbon, maple, tart apples. Thin bodied. This is very strange.
