Description
The journey commenced in October 2013, as Ecliptic Brewing opened its doors in North Portland, not just as a brewery but as a celestial haven—the “Mothership” restaurant. In late 2023, the esteemed Great Frontier Holdings, a collective of West Coast beer and beverage brands, was fortunate to acquire the Ecliptic Brewing brand. John, a vital force in the Ecliptic family, maintains focus on product innovation and expansion, ensuring our beloved beers reach enthusiasts across the United States.

Weirdness in a can. Looks like a standard dunkel black boy with thick lasting off white head. Orange and malt aroma with orange taking over the taste. Long fruit and hop finish.

Pale and hazy. Big lemon aroma. Balancing bitterness, lots of orange, full body. Just really well put together, a nice touch of acidity.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold-yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy lacing. Aroma of bready wheat malt, lemon, Belgian yeast and coriander. Sweet flavour of bready malt, lemon, orange peel, Belgian yeast and spicy coriander in a crisp, dry, mild bitter, slightly tart finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink. The slightly elevated ABV is well hidden.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of latex, strawberry, tangerine, guava, orange creamsicle, crackery malt. Pours hazy golden with a one finger bleach white head with excellent retention. Taste has a high pithy bitterness backed by some light to moderate candy sweetness; lots of juicy hop character. Although I think it’s fucking stupid that they’re trying to brand this as some new kind of IPA (it’s an IPL!!!), this is a really tasty beer.

Raspberry color with lasting thin head. Sweet and tart raspberry flavor with a quick bitter finish like unsweetened cocoa. Rich tasting.
