Keg at the brewery, 6/16/16. Clear copper, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, molasses, mild strawberry. The taste is caramel, berries, molasses. Medium bodied.

Keg at the brewery, 6/16/16. Hazy orange, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of bright blood orange and pale malt. The taste is orange juice, salt, pale malt, mild earth and pepper. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness.

Draft at Grape and Bean Rosemont. Poured a dark brown color, almost black. Small tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, with some light pumpkin pie spice, not overly pumpkin. Flavor was notes of roasted malts, chocolate, with some toasted notes. Roasted chocolate. Booze was totally hidden.

Draft sample at Dominion Wine & Beer, thanks Tyler! Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral notes, candied fruit. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, pine. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall deep tan head with an 90% opaque deep brown glow. Aroma of strong chocolate, cocoa, rye, roasted malt, coffee, earth, nuts and a big deal of cherries and lactose - nice and pungent throughout. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong chocolate, earthy and nutty flavours with a lot of rye/grain and malt noticeable near the end, all with a lot of alcohol pungency, cocoa and malt with some sugars at the tail end. Aftertaste shows a lot of chocolate, coffee, earth and especially nuts with some assertive alcohol still around. Overall, a nice, very rich beer, especially in a can with a complex flavour - nice to sample! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 02-April-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-September-2016.

Bottle, gusher. Cloudy golden orange color, white head. Aroma of dusty orange peel and white pepper. Taste is earthy citrus. Nice.

22oz bottle pours a hazy yellow with some cloudy, white head. Nose is weird, buttery, lemony, a little passion fruit. Flavor is even more buttery, passion fruit, yogurt, lemon. Oily finish.
