$4.99 pint can, TWG. Hazy gold with too large of a head. Floral citrus hops in the nose. Lemongrass, paper... this has almost no flavor beyond the tip of the tongue. Quite disappointing.

Very bright, almost neon orange coloured body, super hazy around eighty per cent opaque rich, fast-moving microfoamed tan head that starts around four centimetres tall and goes to one centimetre in just a few seconds. Aroma of super pungent fake orange notes, aspartame, lactose, full cream, light grass, strong malts, but more pungent citrusey hop elements and a ton of vanilla in the nose. Medium-bodied; Ultra rich artificial orange flavour up front with a strong vanilla, cream, lactose and rich mellow and malt bite that adds to the body, but makes the fake oragne and artificial sugar notes even stronger. Aftertaste is intensely rich, super one-dimensional (creamsicle) and not lacking in any of those aspects (lactose, oranges, malt, cream and vanilla) - all strong, and if that's what you'd want to have as a beer, you've picked the right one! Overall, a strong, intensely pungent and very creamy beer with a lot of aspartame, vanilla, cream and malt notes, but more oranges than anything else. Sadly, I despise creamsicles, so you can imagine what I think of this one, but objectively - it hits the mark, period. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 20-August-2021 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 02-September-2021.

Very hazy golden, peach and light copper coloured body with a thin, perfectly white head that fades and leaves only an island of white on top of the hazy glow. Aroma of hay, grass, light floral hops with a dash of malt noticeable and barely a note of citrus fruits and cleanser as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Deep, very crisp and dry floral and grassy hops show first in the flavour with a peppery and herbal touch, but the malts show through at the end and leaves a slight bready quality towards the finish, with a cleanser/lemon ending. Aftertaste shows the grassy, hay-like notes more akin to a saison than an IPA, but some hops, alpha acid bitterness and lemon notes do show at the end, but there is enough robustness and complexity to be considered very nice! Overall, a crisp, dry and very flavourful (especially for the alcohol here) IPA that has a lot of range, not much sweetness and a proper balance. Great to try super fresh and a worthy option for a lighter, lower abv IPA! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 09-July-2021 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-July-2021.

Light mercury and some straw. Brown pour with decent head. Caramel. Sweet and tangy finish. Decent for style, a little dark for a heller Bock if that's what we're classifying this. Can.

Deep and fairly hazy copper coloured body with a lighter amber and almost orange glow, all with a pretty thick, two to three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of very spicey grain with a lot of canella, nutmeg and coriander seed with a good deal of sweetness from honey noticeable in the nose and some yeast along with an alcohol aroma - quite nice in the nose and clearly reminiscent of a belgian trip. Medium to Full-bodied; Very strong sweetness shows at first from honey, grain and curacao with some banana esters here as well, but a light grain and wheatie note gives this a bit of depth, but the sweetness and spices dominate here up front, in a very nice and complex way. Aftertaste shows a nice robust malty and sweet flavour with a lot of yeast and even more of the spices that bring out a nice balance and complex pungency, but being very easy-drinking and very enjoyable throughout. Overall, a very nice, surprisingly approachable beer that shows almost exactly as a Belgian Tripel with perhaps a bit more spices, but very nice throughout and welcome for the season without being too strong or spicey, but showing a lot of flavours and warmth from the alcohol when the weather is chilly. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Giant Food in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 12-November-2021 for US$1,99 as part of a mixed six pack, sampled at my house here in Washington on 14-February-2022.

Fairly hazy copper and raw honey coloured body with a very large, four to five centimetre tall, soapy and frothy off-white microfoamed head that ends up looking very nice. Aroma of bright grassy and citrusey hops with some Sauvignon Blanc-like scents and breadie yeast with a soft sweetness and light fruity candy-like scent. Medium to Full-bodied; Very deep and pungent yeast (kveik) and dry floral qualities dominate at first with some specialty-grain type flavours and some odd soft fruits that show apricots, plums and stone fruits, with a herbal and very perfumey characteristic at the end that ends dry as well. Aftertaste is clean, fairly complex and robust throughout, considering the malts are deep and varied, the hops show multiple aspects and of course - the yeast is deep, unique and full-of-flavours. Overall, a pretty nice deep and dry IPA that is about what you'd expect and a good example of this micro-style. Good to sample this locally brewed Kveik - not a bad option if you want to try this micro-style locally here and can find this! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Ballston (Arlington), Virginia on 26-Febraury-2021 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 21-May-2021.
