Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very nice two to three centimetre tall microfoamed, but fast-fading off-white head, all on a fifty per cent opaque golden glow. Aroma of grass, honey, flowers, candy, apples and a relatively strong, slightly biscuity bite with some bread and sweetness at the end. Medium-bodied; Fairly rich malty profile at first with a candy-like sweetness and some hints of dry fruit at the end with a big dose of apricots and grapes, with a dry herbal note at the end and some moderate bitterness from the hops. Aftertaste is clean, slightly soapy, but very fruity, with a lot of range from apples, apricots and a very nice fruit candy sweetness here. Overall, a pretty flavourful, yet still bitter new school and old school hybrid of an IPA - this gets it right, especially on the balance of malt, hops and sugars. Very nice to sample and worth trying to find this if you like dryer (but still unfiltered) IPAs with a good balance and range. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 05-May-2021 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 08-July-2021.

Draft at Meridan Pint, Arlington. Poured a kind of peach orange color with a small, wispy head. Aroma was big guava, raspberry. Tart, but not overly sour. Really refreshing. Probably would be even better if it was closer to being sessionable, but really quite drinkable.
