Der doch rech seltene Malztrunk ist so gut wie gar nicht süß, die doch vorhandene Süße verteilt sich hintergründig in Mittelteil sowie Nachgeschmack. Die Getreidigkeit sowie die für einen Malztrunk typische Brotigkeit hält sich dabei am Anfang ebenfalls zurück, ab dem Mittelteil ist dann eine sehr leichte hintergründige Brotigkeit zu erkennen, die dann etwas stärker wird und sich mit der milden Getreidigkeit verbindet. Ein milder Malztrunk, nicht gerade häufig, die meisten anderen sind Geschmacksintensiver. Wohl eher ein Nischenprodukt, ich finde, es ist eine willkommene Abwechselung vom typischen Malztrunk. 8/9/11/9/9/9

Draught at BBF07. Shiny pale golden colour. Very small head. The flavour is mild, slightly bready, but clean. Low bitterness. Good and true to style, but of course therefore a bit boring.

(330ml bottle) Clear pale golden colour with a foamy white diminishing head. Intense citrus-lemonade-like nose with a shy malty note. Moderately sweet citrusy taste, light bodied, crispy mouthfeel, slightly ascorbic finish. Drinkable; might be refreshing for someone in the summer.

(bottle) Typical Pilsener appearance: clear and pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Grassy hoppy nose with a tinge of malt. Bitter flavour, medium to light body and carbonation. Dry grainy malty taste with a bitter and herbal hoppy finish. Almost boring but still drinkable Pilsener without failures.

Bottle: Golden coloured, thin but stable white froth, sticking to the glass; malty and slightly fruity nose; slightly bitter flavour, fizzy mouthfeel; dry bitter finish with some fruity undertones. A well-made Kölsch, quite spicy for this style........

(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head, quickly diminishing. Sweet grainy aroma with herbal hops. Initially sweet grainy malty taste with cardboard and a faint fruitiness, stale and rather unbalanced bitter hoppy finish.

Den Antrunk und auch den Mittelteil kann man einfach unr als "kölschtypisch" beschreiben, wie ein ganz normales durchschnittskölsch, mild und sehr süffig. Der Nachgeschmack ist das, was das Zunft von anderen Kölschen unterscheidet. Leider nicht im positiven, er wirkt unstimmig und dumpf. Test vom 25.11.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,9,12,6,-,9

Das Bier startet extrem bitter, im Mittelteil geht das Ganze weiter, erst im Abgang erlischt der Geschmack und man kann einen hopfigen Geschmack wahrnehmen. Die Bitterkeit ist grauenhaft. Bah. Test vom 28.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,2,4,6,9,4 - 4,55
