Cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate malt, pepper, and hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Very sweet cinnamon, vanilla, prune, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay/grass flavor. Good body and nice balance. Light pepper burn in the finish.

Can. Hazy golden-amber beer with a cream head. Spice and floral aroma with tropical fruit. Tropical fruit and citrus flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and citrus linger.

Not bad, crisp and floral like a good festbier should be, with a grainy malt undertone laced with toast and a touch of caramel. Finishes with a mix of yeast, apple, and a floral Hallertau bite. Nice alternative to a marzen.

Pint can from Woodman’s Oak Creek, 9/25/22. Had to buy this because of the Hardee’s tie in. My first job! Age 16… many years ago. Thanks Boddie-Noell Enterprises and Maurice Bartley.. Hardee’s Pantops in Charlottesville. As I recall the biscuits were quite good. Buttery. I forget her name, but Barbara Jordan comes to mind. She was the biscuit maker at Hardee’s and was in the company newsletter after she made her millionth biscuit. I miss you Gracie R. and even John S. and Earnest H. And I forgot your--Nikki?--who used to trade buckets of chicken through the drive-through for moonshine. Hope y’all and everyone else are doing well. There was that time I was a low-key victim of an armed robbery for a medium Sprite ($1.07 inc. tax) and throwing the frisbees off the roof. Terrible job but some fun times. Easy biking distance from my house. Now the Hazy amber, large white head, average retention. Aroma of tart and sweet strawberry. Bready malt. Taste is berry, bready malt, almost a yogurt thing. Juicy, mild tartness (not supposed to be a sour). Probably all nostalgia, but I like.
