Sampled on draft this beer poured a cloudy pale yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tart and citric with lemon and a bit of cracker. The flavor was tart, citric and a touch lactic with lemon and almost salt. Medium length tart lactic and lemon finish. Light body. Ok.

Sampled from a growler this beer poured a murky yellow-peach color with a trace foamy white head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was very strong grapefruit, orange, lemon, pepper, apricot and a bit of catbox. The flavor was very strong grapefruit and was very bitter yet had an underlying sweetness and notes of orange, lemon, citric acid, catbox, resin sugar and hot peppers. Nicely complex. Very long bitter grapefruit finish. Moderately full bodied. Excellent.

Nice and black. Quick fading head. Aroma is very apparent, almost aggressive. The smell is very unique in its slagginess. From the start the flavor of this is somewhat earthy, but in a good way. Quite unique overall presentation. Smell and taste bring a new meaning to hopped stout. Not my fave, but I was really glad to have a chance to taste this special selection.

I really like beers that have some heat in them from peppers. This beer starts with a nice head. Very refreshing peppery aroma. Just as bitter as the regular pils but its got that pablano feel to it. Its peppery but not in your face peppery, just a mild friendly heat that build to medium during the session. If you ignore the heat, the pepper spice in the flavor is so readily apparent. Quite interesting, remind me a bit of church brew mole. I really liked this brew. Fun, spicy and tasty without getting in yer face.

Yes, its brown and not black. Has a slight slaggy aroma. The taste is brown ale with a mildly tart cherry background. Fun. Some bitterness in there but this stuff goes down easy. Quite interesting. Overall good beer experience. Unique fer sure. I liked this brew.

Certainly one of the better octoberfests I’ve had lately. Nice color, slightly darker than a pale lager, somewhat like lighter iced tea in appearance. Nice initial flavors. So many fest beers are cloyingly sweet, this is not. Its just a refreshing example of what a well behaved octoberfest should be, I liked this stuff. Hides the alky well. Enjoyable fer sure.

Has a slightly wild, but not too tart, flavor. Flavor somewhat reminds me of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, quite refreshing. Quite mild at first then a medium bitterness begins to set in. Nice pilsner bite. Good co2 effects. Medium length bitter finish. Not bad overall and never gets in yer face. Decent overall beer experience.
