Tap source. High hopes for this since I am an expert in pale lagers. Clear pale. Mild lager smell. Taste has a little more personality than expected, probably should be in the premium lager category. Even so, its not over the top and is on par with many pale lagers that have more personality. Still remains a pale lager near the end. Good co2 to the finish. Good stuff, but not as reserved or refined as most of the pale lagers examples out there. Actually, the spoonwood working class may be more like a real macro pale lager in drinkability.

Tap source. Strong belgan yeasty first impressions. A little bit of medicine sits in. Yes, volatile, but not as much as 9% would indicate. Not bad for a domestic tripel, but also not as refined as many civilized old country examples.

Tap @ spoonwood. Slight aroma of BO hops. Darker pale. Mild to medium bitter hops taste, but never approaches an IPA. Remains civilized and somewhat easy. Goodly amount of co2. Slight oily hop finish. Not bad for a simple APA.

Tap source. Clear lighter pale color. Smells simply like clean fresh beer. Fresh easy taste. Some hints of slag. Good co2. Very friendly reserved brew, I enjoyed this. Could drink a few mugs of this.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a orange caramel color with a large foamy orange white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet fruits and sour malts. The flavor was sweet fruity hops and sour malts. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a very dark brown color with red highlights and a medium sized foamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong bourbon, coconut, caramel, booze and dark fruits. The flavor was wood, whiskey, honey, coconut, light fruits and booze. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a cloudy honey color with a large creamy orange white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet mixed fruits and tropical fruit. The flavor was tangy and bitter with notes of tropical fruit, grapefruit and lemon. Medium length tropical fruit finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

The flavor was tangy yet a bit dry and bitter with grapefruit, orange, lemon, pineapple and black pepper notes. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.
