Description
As of 5/24/25 Wasatch Brewery beers will no longer be brewed in Utah. They will be brewed in the Monster Brewing network.
“Where’s the beer? Where are the breweries?” Those were among the first thoughts Greg Schirf had after moving to Utah from Milwaukee in the early 80’s. Incredibly, drinking and brewing were all but forbidden. Greg took matters into his own hands and did what any self-respecting midwesterner would do: He started a brewery. Wasatch was the very first brewery in Utah – and one of the first craft brewers in all of the U.S. – brewing award-winning brews since 1986.
In 1988, Greg Schirf proposed another bill to the Utah Legislature making brewpubs legal in Utah and opened the first brewpub at the top of historic Main Street in the resort town of Park City. Wasatch continues to misbehave, turning out naughty beer after naughty beer year after year.

tap at McStiff’s - Pours a hazy straw color with a white, well lacing head. It has a citrus led aroma. The sweet flavor is mild with minimal spice and fruit notes. It’s light, watery, refreshing, and very bland.

tap at McStiff’s - Pours light amber with a lingering off-white head and good lacing. It has a mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor is lightly toasted caramel malt with some very mild hops. It’s light and refreshing, but needs something more.

tap at McStiff’s - I tried polygamy and it was kind of a letdown. The beer pours near black with a small tan head. It has a mild, chocolate led aroma. The flavor is sweet with some roast character and chocolate malt. It’s weak for a porter and rather watery. It’s alright, but a little underwhelming.

tap at McStiff’s - Pours a hazy straw color with a small white head. It has a big, assertive apricot aroma. The flavor is sweet and full of apricots. It’s a touch on the watery side but it’s light bodied, refreshing, and quite tasty.

Bottle from the Utah State store on Harris. Pours like a gold hazy wit with a foamy/frothy white head. Aroma is lightly bready and somewhat citrus. Med body. Flavor is clearly citrus, but the malt is quite as expected. Sort of cracker/bready. Quite smooth, but the flavors are only medium strong. Quite drinkable tho.

Bottle: Yellow with a finger of white head, spotty lacing. Nose is pungent with pilsener qualities; a biscuity malt and ripe dandelions. Taste is consistent with the smell albeit subdued. Nicely carbonated. Refreshing, not one of my favorite styles, but it’s good and I’d drink this again.

Hazy dark golden in the glass, fruity pumpkin nose. The beer starts smooth. In the mainpart comes a spicy and fruity pumpkin to the malty and light body, easy drinkable and nicely spicy. The aftertaste is smooth, spicy pumpkin with smooth yeasty beer.
A great combination! I like this pumpkin brew! --> 14/13/14/14
