Description
Born in the headwaters of Bench Creek in Yellowhead County, Alberta, this brewery was built by family and friends smack dab in the middle of Alberta’s backyard. We are immersed in the untamed majesty and the harsh realities of the wild that make this province special.

That’s why we push our techniques and recipes constantly – why we experiment as if our lives depend on it. Our goal is to balance premium ingredients perfectly in every glass, growler, can, cask, or keg we fill. Only then do we rest knowing these distinctive beers will be worth discovering over and over again.

With all that in mind, we invite you to try our beers wherever you find them to get a taste of our unique approach. If you’re a more adventurous sort, come by the brewery in Yellowhead County to see the place and the process for yourself.

650ml bottle. Pours a murky copper-brown with a medium, fluffy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves thick patches of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, vanilla, rum, pineapple and oak. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, grapefruit, mango, peach, pineapple and oak in a warming rum finish. Medium to full body with a creamy, soft, sticky texture and soft carbonation. I'm generally not a fan of barrel-aging IPA's and this was no exception, although it came close. The rum is overpowering and drinks much heavier than you would think.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver; packaged 19 Oct, 1.5 months ago
Light brown / amber colour, cloudy. Mild fruit aroma (ripe orange and apple). Bready malt base, moderately sweet, not too overpowering; the hops have an orange character; expected bitterness.
Not very juicy if this was supposed to be a NEIPA, not very bright if this was supposed to be a WCIPA, but pleasant..

473mL can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose brings out bright piney hops, some resins, and bready malt. Flavour is bright and piney in the hop department, some resins, and bready malt. Bright and piney, with a nice bitterness. Very good.
