Keg at the brewery. Hazy orange, large frothy tan head good retention. Aroma of tart fruit, paw paw, lemon. Taste is candied lemon, syrupy fruit. Medium bodied lingering tartness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours amber. Aroma is caramel, lightly burnt sugar. Flavor is caramel, brown grass and leaf, toffee, green leaf. Decent flavor, but nothing memorable.

On tap at the brewery. This one's an oddball, and the bartender warned me before hand that it's an acquired taste. Flavor ends up being wet dog, burnt cinnamon, earth, dirty cheese. It's not bad, but it's weird.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate candy, light ginger. Flavor is dark chocolate candy, light spice, including ginger, which is subdued by the overwhelming cheap candy flavor. The gingerbread needs to be more intense than it is - almost an afterthought.

Tap at the brewery. Pours golden. Aroma is slightly fruity, hair tonic, grasses. Flavor is fruity - slightly tart mango, bread crust, cardboard. It’s not bad, but the overwhelming cardboard distracts a bit.

Bottle from a branch of Giant in Sterling, Virginia. Amber in colour, with moderate carbonation. A malty lager with some caramel, leafy hops and moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Roast and velvet cacao. Scottish yeast makes sense as there is some of that Scotch ale vibe. Pours black with mocha cream. Well balanced, and creamy consistency. Bitter finish, on the sharp side like Yakuza pinkies but with some caramel. Tap at Firewood.

Draft in a pilsner glass at Second Street. Amber clear with hint of white foam, medium body. Mild hops taste with next to no aroma. Very clean slightly bitter finish.
