On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper with medium creamy tan head. The aroma is strong oak, brett, sour malt. Medium mouth, rich malt, light tartness. Very nice.

On tap at Apex, pours a dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Nose is very well-balanced, with cherries and funk, with maltiness underneath. Flavour brings out a great mix of cherries, balsamic, and funk. Quite complex and funky on the finish. An excellent heavy funky dark sour.

Draft - Soured dark malts with lots of Berry notes. Deep mahogany with a nice light brown head. Dark sour malts, Berry notes and a perfumy finish. Really nice.

On tap at Beermongers. Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is super sweet like passion-fruit or mangoes. The flavor is just huge watermelon, I guess some caramel, light bitterness, oranges, a big dose of super sweet late boil, but it meets with the sweetness of the malt to make it way too sweet.

Draft - Vinous notes with hints of acidity and cherry. Mahogany with almost no head. Nice sour cherry and malty oak notes to balance. This was the surprise of Portland, a local that is ridiculously cheap and mastered the Sour Red where so many have failed. Just awesome, but the pint serving size is a bit too much.

On firkin at Bailey's, pours a cloudy opaque dirty orangey brown with a medium bubbly off-white head. Aroma brings out dank earthy hops, English malts and caramel. Flavour is over-malted, with notes of caramel, English malts, earthy hops, and residual sugars. Not very well-balanced - this is way too sweet for the style. And despite the nice mouthfeel from the firkin, it's not easy drinking. Becomes more and more undrinkable with each sip. Couldn't finish my glass.

On tap at the Holiday Ale Festival. Twerking Elf? An odd but satisfying beer. Pours a almost black color with a small white head. A fruity vinous nose, dark red wine, some tobacco. The flavor is dark fruit, currant, some sourness, vinous, deep almost smoky tobacco. Quite nice. Not super sour.

On tap at Bailey's, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of potent coffee, not much else discernible. Flavour brings out light coffee notes - really not much else. Thin body without much complexity. Solid, but uninspired.

On tap at Bailey's, pours a cloudy dark plum amber with a small beige head. Nose of bananas above anything, a touch of rum and vanilla. Flavour brings out shitloads of banana, a little rum and a little vanilla. Extremely banana dominated, with only slight accents of rum ad vanilla. ABV is noticeable but not harsh. Solid stuff.
