At SAVOR 2016. I actually wasn’t too keen on trying this particular brew at SAVOR, it seemed too gimmicky, and my friends agreed. However, we decided to be adventurous and grabbed a few tasters of it. Wow, this is a boozy, banana filled beer. Lots of ripe bananas immediately greet us, with vanilla, bready notes.

cloudy light amber orange color. Smells like peach juice. Modest astringency. Modest bitterness. But finishes too quick and too carbonated. Ok

Tap at On The Table By Goodbeer Faucets, Daimon, Tokyo. Pours clear amber, bit of foam. Aroma is herbal, hops prickly albeit maybe starting to age a bit, having this soft and fruity edge to it. Sweet malty base. Taste feels quite dry, hops are herbal and piney, nice dry bitter linger in the aftertaste. Decent IPA.

Liter can, so, yea. Copper with a large frothy, white head. Strong bitter, hop filled aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is sweet tropical fruit, not nearly as bitter as the aroma leads you to believe. A bit sugary sweet int he finish with decent fruit. A solid IPA. A liter of 7.2% IPA is a bit much, really. Rock on.

Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing. Coffee, chocolate and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and mild chocolate. The finish is roasty with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

On tap at Saraveza's 6th Annual IIPA Fest, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, caramel malt and light candied sugar. Flavour brings out resinous hops, oranges, and bready caramel malt. Well-balanced, though quite a bit more on the malty side. Well-constructed but not my preferred type of IIPA. Good.

Very cool giant 32 ounce can from Belmont. Pours a clear orange color with a small white head. A big citrus nose, light biscuit. The flavor is tropical fruit, big citrus tangerines, some toast, marmalade. Very smooth and tasty.
