Can from Beerdome. Aroma is 'green' hop, citrus, oats, dank hop, tropical notes, grass. Harsh unpleasant bitter flavour with a shitload of sharp hop burn... Yuck! Medium body. Definitely the bad side of NEIPA, what a disappointment coming from La Pirata.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. As Black Block Palo Cortado 2021. Strong oak and sherry, dark malt, syrup, touch of liquorice, caramel, molasses. Sweet with a little alcohol in the finish. Bit sticky, light boozy, long oaky finish. Very nice.

Can from Beer52. Light misty gold with small white head. Orange and lime citric aroma with quite light malts. Taste wise its not as simplistic. Grains, zesty citrus, big pine note, a slightly softer grapefruit and pithy citrus comes through towards the end with a pepper tingle. Light to medium bodied but slick, with a fine carbonation combined with a bittersweet finish is good. Its certainly and interesting take on an APA. One of those beers that I start out thinking 'what is this?' and then it really grew on me.
