Great Raft Brewing is a Shreveport, Louisiana based craft brewery dedicated to making creative, authentic beer and helping to build a great beer culture within communities it serves. Co-founders Andrew and Lindsay Nations are Shreveport natives with a passion for beer. Born from their desire to bring exciting, flavorful, fresh craft beer to their hometown, Great Raft Brewing is bringing the craft brewing tradition to Northern Louisiana.

On tap at the ChurckKey in DC. A monstrous chocolate fudge and nutmeg led nose. Taste leads with roasted coffee, dense chocolate fudge, nutmeg, coconut, and a hint of vanilla. Sweet and slick but not over the top. Dessert heaven.

From tap at the Avenue Pub, New Orleans. Roasty aroma with dark malt, notes of chocolate, touch of nuts, mocha, coffee, caramel. Roasty bitter and medium sweet. Body is medium. Truly an exemplary Schwarz, and I know my way 'round Germany.

From tap at the Avenue Pub, New Orleans. Aroma is fruity hops with tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, light malt, orange, and a hint of pine. Mild sweet, medium bitter. Body is medium. Very fine fruity IPA, good stuff.

Can from Craft Beer Cellar, New Orleans. Aroma is grainy malt with citrussy hints, some hay and bread, as well as a floral touch. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and light bitter. Likeable Pils, some subtle dry-hop qualities.

From tap at Rotolo's Pizzeria, Shreveport. Aroma is fruity with citrussy hops, tropical notes, grapefruit, some mango, lightly pine. Mild sweet and medium bitter flavour. Body is medium. Nicely fruity hazy Pale Ale, fresh hop taste.

Can. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light sweet grains and straw with a bit of hay supporting. Flavor has straw and hay with a growing sweetness.
