Tap at Sidedoor. Slightly hazy yellow-tan body. Grainy, earthy body. More American macro taste than German. Not that impressive, but sessionable enough. Thin, medium body. Not much going on.

Pour is a brown with a small tan head and lots of floaties. Aroma is a minor dark fruit with some brown sugar sweetness. Flavor is lots of dark candi sugar with some sweet plum and cherry. A little thin but ok. Not the most exciting Belgian dark but everything was heading in the right direction. Decent candi sugar and a wee bit of dark fruit with the alcohol pretty well hidden.

12 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out chipotle peppers upfront, followed by toasted malt. Flavour is heavy on the chipotle peppers, with toasted oak and light earth. Toasty and spicy - nothing complex but it's fine.

12oz can, no date. Brown, clear body with a pale lacing. Aroma is very much a chipotle beer. Chipotle peppers smell like earthy, dry, brown pepper. Not sure why this is called a porter when it comes off as completely a brown ale. Flavor has some actual heat that sticks around mildly to moderately depending on how long and how fast your are drinking. A little bark flavor and a clean beer otherwise. I like it despite wanting this to be a different pepper.
