Cloudy yellow. Apricot aroma. Sweet Turkish apricot flavor. Light orange as well. Well carbonated. A decent fruit beer.

Was this White Knight or Black Knight? I think their chalkboard said "white." Anyway. A black beer. It looks like a stout. Well carbonated. The aromas has butter and mild spices including coriander. Flavor has unprocessed wheat and light roasted malt. Rough on the palate; it has a rustic feel to it. Strong clove finish.

I can’t find this on the Fitger’s website but there are a few references to this beer on the Internet. It looks like a tribute to someone at Fitger’s. Anyway, it is a better than average porter. This beer has substantial palate, but it is not as thick as their stout. The beer is black and has a small head. Some dried fruit in the aroma, and roasted malt and light, sweet fruit in the flavor.

ABR 2006. I don’t think Fitger’s makes a bad beer and this might be Minnesota’s premier brewer. The beer is black, and the aroma has roasted malt and light smoke. Some coffee in the flavor, more roasted grains and a moderately palate. It is very smooth and easy to drink.

ABR 2006. A little more complex than the average amber ale. This one is well hopped and on the dry side. Light amber color.

ABR 2006. Banana and citrus aroma. Sweet wheat flavor and substantial wheat body.. Cloudy yellow. This is simple and there is nothing fancy, so not much to say. But it is a solid hefeweizen.

ABR 2006. This is a good ipa. Loaded with bitter, herbal hops. There is very light citrus in the flavor, but mostly this is a full bodied pale ale and it does a good job at being a simple, straightforward ipa.

ABR 2006. This was good but I didn’t like it as much as everyone else. I thought it was a barleywine while drinking it. The beer is well hopped in the aroma and flavor. There is some sugar, but dry, herbal, grassy flavors dominate.

Autumn Beer Review, 2006. Unremarkable appearance, simple brown with a medium head. Lots of yeast and sugary malt in the aroma. Flavor is more sweet malt combined with sugar and fruit.

Very dark brown. Lots of bourbon with some vanilla, some chocolate. The palate is sweet, vanilla-accented with balanced chocolate and a slightly boozy finish. Good beer, but not all that innovative.

2006 rating: Very dark brown colour. Bourbony, chocolatey character in the aroma. Stinging roastiness leads, with lots of alcohol in the middle and finish. Hints of burnt fruit character throughout. A well made beer, but not overly complex and it doesn’t stand out amongst its peers in the bourbon impy field. 7-3-7-3-13 = 3.3
