0.33 l bottle. Pours jet black with thick, quickly disappearing head. Nose is weak roasted notes. Taste is earthy, roasted, light body, and huge overcarbonation. Dull.

0.33 l bottle @ home, from Silves. Pours jet black with thin, quickly disappearing beige head. It shows the traces of chocolate, grains, cocoa powder, bitter hops and some faint alcohol. Surprisingly easy to drink for its abv, and has soft carbo. Decent no-adjunct, oldschool RIS, perhaps a bit too thin, but otherwise quite fine.

Short pour from the Vilhoa booth at the Carneval market in Funchal. Pours a bright, golden color, with a small, foamy, white head. The nose is grapefruit, spruce, straw, and lavender. Sweet and malty, with a hard, citrusy bitterness. Medium to heavy body, pulpy, and sticky. Fun and well-made.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small, rough, white head. Distinct rosemary aroma overpowering whatever else there may be. Medium body, super dry maltiness, again loads of rosemary and then a super unpleasant extreme astringency in the finish. 170225
