Autumn Brew Review, 2015. Red color, rather than the dark brown common to this style. This beer is very sweet, at least after having a few smoked beers previously, and I taste some dried fruit here. Not picking up the wine barrel at all, but there is alcohol on the palate and in the flavor. rerate 2016. score raised from 3.1.

I did not care for this as much as I thought I would. The carbonation seems low for the style. Gold color. Some spice, coriander, bubble gum. I can smell the sweetness, and the flavor is very sweet, so sweet I found it a little hard to drink. Some peach, more bubblegum.

At Dangerous Man, pulled from the cask. Same appearance as the regular version. Good palate, especially from the cask. Low carbonation, fine for cask beer. Good raspberry aroma when the glass is near my nose. Sweet flavor, chocolate, and lots of raspberry here also. You could call this a fruit beer. Excellent blend of the sweet beer and raspberry flavor.

Bottle @ Grill n Chill. Fairly clear brown appearance with a thin tan head. The aroma is mostly whiskey, fresh oak, vanilla, and coconut. Oily and boozy. Mostly just bourbon which is admittedly pretty good but one dimensional. Lots of caramel, toffee, oak, and whiskey. A little overly sweet and bitter.
