Veteran owned, operated and located in the heart of Virginia Beach, VA. We at Young Veterans Brewing Co. don't like to take ourselves too seriously, however, our product quality is a different story. Our brewers crank out some of the finest local craft beer in Hampton Roads using only the highest quality barley, hops, yeast and water. We apply an obsessive amount of attention to detail including some of the best can artwork and branding in the US. At the end of the day... it's just beer, dude. Draft at 2014 Virginia IPA Challenge: Yeasty nose. Clear amber, headless. Very vegetal flavor, celery and boiled cabbage. Tangy. Offensive.

Draft at Beer Run, 7/20/14. Pours a hazy golden with a thin white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of pale malt, herbal and floral hops. The taste is citrus, earthy hops, caramel malt. Thin-medium bodied, low carbonation.

Draft at Sedona, 7/3/14. Pours a dark brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, smoke, faint fruit. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, smoke, bitter hops. Thin-medium bodied, low carbonation.

Draft: Bakers’ chocolate nose, subtle, some charcoal. Mahogany, thin head. Charred oak and dark chocolate. Medium body, but completely lacking carbonation. Elegant and well done stout. I’m not sure what was up with the carbonation, but it could have been the draft system.

Draft: Aroma is yeasty grapefruit pulp and whole orange. Cloudy amber, thin head. Yeasty lemon flavor. Tart, dry, and thin. Refreshing and light, a curiously yet nicely sour fruit beer. Probably needs a tweak or too.

Draft at Know Good Beer Festival, Charlottesville, 5/3/14. Pours a hazy golden color with a thin frothy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of tropical, mango, spicy, resin hops, pale malt. The taste is bitter citrus, orange, tropical hops, doughy malt. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.

Draft at Know Good Beer Festival, Charlottesville, 5/3/14. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of crackery malts with a bit of toast, tropical and citrus hops. The taste is toasted pale malt, citrus hops. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.
