Draft at the brewery. Poured a near pitch black color with a small, wispy head, perhaps a touch of ruby on the edges of the glass. Aroma is some sweet, dried fruits, cocoa nibs, burnt malts. Flavor was plums, malt, chocolate notes. Rich, but not too boozy.

Draft at the source. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma of straw and light lemon. Taste is hay, straw, citrus. Very nice to see a saison that’s not 10% - in other words, this one is closer to the original intent of the style.

Draft at the source. Hazy amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of subtle fresh hay. Taste is bitter straw and fruit. Nice to see a sessionable IPA, this one would improve with a bit more aroma hops, as brewer Matt is planning to do. I’ll have to try it again!

Draft at the source. Hazy yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of dusty barnyard, light berries. Taste is dusty, peppery, and tar berries. The funkiness of the saison dominates, but the dry tart fruitiness of the cranberries really add a lot. A beautiful beer.

Draft at the source, opening night, welcome to the neighborhood! Poured a nice dark color, with a nice tan head. Aroma was nice, light chocolates, roasted malt notes. Flavor was a touch of bitter chocolate, sweet roasted malts. This was my favorite brew of the evening. More like this please!

Draft at the source, opening night, welcome to the neighborhood! This one poured a pale, cloudy yellow-orange color, no head to speak of. Aroma is light notes of grain. Flavor is very light, sweet notes in this one. Easy to drink, but definitely needs more rye in it to bump up some of the unique notes that rye beer can bring to the table.
