Description
DAVO is ontstaan in 2012, vooral om onszelf van bier te voorzien. We brouwden toen, jawel, in pannen. Gegarandeerd.

Can. Blonde. Banana and citrus in the wheaty aroma and flavor. Sweetish, floral. Decent.

Blik thuis geprobeerd. Het is een troebel geel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een wit schuim. De geur is moutig en kruidig. Het heeft een kruidige wat bittere smaak.

Bottle at Mout, Groningen. Pours dark brown with beige head. Malty, caramel, some chocolate notes, not that much dried fruit, sweetish, watery texture and bit thin finish. Medium bodied.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 30 Aug 2019) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with foamy off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange, apricots and candy sugar. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange, peaches, candy sugar and a fairly low bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, sweet. On the sweet side and not very complex. Quite enjoyable.

Black with creamy head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of dark malts. Dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice come through well.

Bottle at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Poured a hazy golden colour with a very short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, floral hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, floral medicinal, boozy palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A decent tripel but a little ragged around the edges. Needs a little work to make it smoother and more refined. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tripel on 27 Apr 2013 at 11:31 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is big fruit and yeast leading to a broadly similar flavour, with lots of fruit and yeast on the palate. Not hugely alcoholic and very tasty.

On tap at Bierproeflokaal In De Wildeman, pours black with a large light brown head. Aroma brings out fairly subdued whiskey, plenty of oak, and light-medium roasted malt. Flavour is rich and round, with lots of oak, whiskey, and medium roast. Deep and rounded without any real harshness for such a big beer. Excellent.
