12oz bottle. I drank this right after drinking Green Flash Pale Ale, which makes me a little bit of a harsh critic. The aroma is not very enticing, plastic dry amarillo or something, cheapish malt tones. Has an almost nice dryness, but the backbone is unimpressive, grainy malt. Not outright horrendous, but I have no idea why you would release a beer like this in 2015. Antiquated and sub par.

At all pints north. Pretty sure this is a biere de garde. Dry malt, some yeast and a clean finish. Yellow colpr, some haze. Characteristically Be Gian, some sweetness, more than the last time I tried it. Decent beer.

Sampled from the cask at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissiptes slowly to the edges. Aroma has a sweet chocolate supported by vanilla and coconut with a touch of dark grain backing. Flavor has notes of vanilla, chocolate sweet dark grains with a bit of coconut underlying.

Tap at Old Fashioned numerous times. Probably a lot easier to enjoy for three dollars a pint than ten a bomber. Amber cornered deep brown-red. Thin, oily off-white head. Really unimpressive for an Imperial beer, comes off very hollow and amateurish. I get s hint of smoked malt, but nto much. In no way an Imperial Stout, there is no roast. Big brown ale, hint of smoke. Not off, but seriously lacking depth. Tastes bockish. OK at best. Pretty insipid stuff.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and malt. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, black coffee and mild hops. The finish is earthy hops and dark chocolate. Decent overall.
