Draft. A- Caramel, bread, malty. A- Cooper color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Caramel, malty, sweet bread. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- Unlike any ESB I’ve had. A bit of experimenting going on in here that I think actually makes this better than a traditional ESB. Not bitter and loads of caramel.

Draft/Fest. A- Jalapeno, berry. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Raspberry, peppers, mild spiciness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spicy finish. O- Not too hot but could still use a little more sweetness. A bit better balance would make it really tasty.

Bottle. A- Grains, corn, hay, subtle citrus. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Subtle fruits, corn, slightly sweet, crisp. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- This probably deserves a better score than I give it simply because it’s not my thing, but it’s one of the better Kolschs I have had. Light and refreshing, it serves it’s purpose.

Bottle. A- Spicy herbs, pine, dank, caramel, citrus. A- Amber orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Pine, citrus, grassy, dank, floral. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dank finish. O- This is what I would consider to be their foundation beer. I love the story behind this beer’s name and all the name’s they use. Considering it’s a newer brewery and considering it’s in the middle of nowhere, I’d say this is pretty good. While I don’t love it, I think with time it’s going to get good. A lot of dankness and pine to it with a caramel backbone and some citrus thrown in. Surprisingly not very bitter at all.

Draft. A- Chocolate, subtle spice, slightly roasty. A- Black color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Chocolate, slightly sweet, subtle spice, very subtle gourds. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- I went into this with a notion that it would be all over the place with artificial pumpkin flavors and a dash of chocolate tossed in. In actuality, the chocolate was very strong but delicious and balanced. The pumpkin was very subtle and you really only got some spice with a hint of gourd. Maybe a good thing in truth. I liked this one. It was not the run of the mill pumpkin beer.

Draft. A- Roasty, cocoa, leather. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Smoke, roasty, slightly dry, anise, leather, char. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- A nice porter that is loaded with roasty and smoky flavors. Didn’t get much coffee and wished I had though.
