4 oz. draft at El Bait Shop, Des Moines, IA. Appearance is a slightly hazy copper. Aroma of peaches and mangos, malt. Flavor follows with a lightly note of alcohol noticed. Slightly warming after the sip. (I see where the beer gets its name). Very little bitterness and despite the ABV the mouthfeel is good. Enjoyable.

4 oz. sample at El Bait Shop, De Monies, Iowa. Hazy orange appearance. Aroma has pear, honeysuckle, peach, mild sugar. The balance of hops to grain is decent. The one off note I get is a light showing of sugar. Other than that, decent.

Draft/Fest. A- Sweet, fruity, soapy. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Sweet fruity, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- They honey is minimal but adds some sweetness. There is a touch of rhubarb but otherwise its pretty flavorless.

Draft/Fest. A- Orange, mango. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- With the name, I totally get the tropical fruit but I thought the burn was in reference to habaneros or something. Pretty juicy and quite a lot of orange and mango.

Bottle thanks to Jorts. Pours a cloudy brown with large beige head. The aroma is smoke, leather, sour fruit. Medium body, leather, peat, wood, off finish, nah.

On tap-retaining tight tan with heavy Guinness lacing-black. A-pine then lots of chocolate/roasty dk malt. T-lots of roasty dk malt-chocolate/slight chalky, hop bite from front to late palate/slight peppery.

16 oz. can at Dad’s house, maybe from Ankeny HyVee. Dark brown pour, with a half finger width tan head. Roasty brown English malt smell with a bit of treacle behind it. But the taste brings a full burst of robust, nut brown malt, Reminiscent of the Goose Island Nut Brown, heartier than a Newcastle, and a bolder mothfeel from standard carbonation. I am guessing some heathery English hops, with a note of Citra on the side. Big taste in a still sessionable dinner beer.
