Bottle. Thanks Andrew. Pours dark brown tan head. nose/taste of tart cranberry, cardamom, cinnamon, light sour cocoa - medium body. The sourness seems to come from the cranberry. Not overly tart. A touch earthy. Interestingly weird. Nice beer.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Pours a hazy red with a thin head. Aroma of burnt sugar, toffee, vanilla, mild dark fruits. The taste is toffee, dark fruit, vanilla, caramel and a hoppy finish. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Jet black color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, chocolate and coffee in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and mild hops. The finish is roasty with a burnt malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
