Piney hop nose right under the pull tab. Big spongy head of foam keeps the smell coming. Hazy brassy body underneath. Taste brings in plenty of pine nd resin, and a burn of northwestern hop. Maybe the mouthfeel could be a little thicker, but that's my thought. Solid APA.

Reddish brown pour with haze and a thick, sudsy head. American hops right up on the nose; piney and resiny. Continued big hop character in the taste. Mostly American pale ale hops, not much on the side. A hoppy tongue burner.

Draught @ the brewery. Hazy dark yellow-orange with a foamy light beige head, faint orangey aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel-pineapple taste, smooth body, long bitter orange peel finish. On the bitter side.

All right, just one more, because I have not had any of the Hailstorm Vlads before. A bit of brown in the tiny glass with a somewhat larger ring of foam than the toppling Goliath. My first impression of the nose is actually of some grain being mashed. Surprised that I can't pick up much more in the nose. Comparing to the Mornin' Delight I just had, the mouthful is noticably thinner. I pick up plenty of barrel oak, and now the bourbon is sneaking up to my palate. Taste does improves with each so, even getting stronger as I go.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. As Hailstorm Vlad Coconut Russian Imperial Stout at 10.6% abv. Strong coconut upfront with chocolate, roasted malt, touch of vanilla. Flavour is fairly bitter with a medium sweetness. Body is medium to full. Delivers on the coconut, not as smooth as I'd like. Good roast, bittersweet, quite nice.
