Description
Founded in North San Diego County in 2010 by Daniel & Jon Love, and Kamron Khannakhjavani, what began as a hobby years earlier had formed into a business. Originally operating out of a 2200 sq. ft. industrial space, the business grew quickly thanks to thirsty patrons visiting the industrial, but homely, onsite tasting room and adjacent homebrew store. Brewhouse upgrades soon followed and in 2012, Mother Earth opened a large Tap House in the historic downtown Vista district. The relocation of the tap room allowed the company to expand its production spaces even further and over time additional square footage was added to nearly 28000 sq. ft. in total.
In 2015 the company began development of a new, state-of-the-art 40,000 sq. ft. production facility in Nampa, Idaho. Featuring a 40 bbl multi-vessel brewhouse, and the capacity to produce over 100K bbls/yr, “Mother Earth – Nampa” went on-line in August of 2016 and through continuous upgrades and expansion rapidly became the largest brewery in the state of Idaho. As Mother Earth's second regional headquarters, Nampa supports most of the company's growth and produces beer for all markets outside Southern California. The original Vista brewery continues to provide draft and specialty offerings to its home market of Socal as well as creating unique one-off brews for visitors at its retail operations in North County San Diego. Mother Earth remains family owned and operated and has become a standard of success within the industry.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic Advent ´23. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Koffie met melk, redelijk zoet maar niet te zoet, hint van vanille, romig, gebrand, bitterzoete finish. Lichte tot medium body. Beter dan ik had verwacht, lekker.

12 fl. oz. can from the Beer Republic advent calendar. Black in the glass with a more than one finger steady beige head. Looks really good. Intensive coffee and choco milk on the nose. Taste has more milk choco than coffee. Fruity hints and vanilla in the background. No real carbonation. Nice one.

Can from a shop near San Diego. Nose: peanut butter candy, wow, that's it. Flavor is sweet, indeed brown sugary, moderate roast notes, mid complexity. Slightly artificial peanut flavor is in the fore. A bit crazy. Tastes better than it smells.

Black with thin head. Very strong aroma. Lots of vanilla. Too much probably. Sweet taste. Some coffee too but overall lacking a bitter note. --- Beer merged from original tick of Milk Truck on 27 Jun 2025 at 20:42 - Score: 6. Original review text: Well made but excessively sweet.

On tap at Grace in Growlers, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has a sweaty, earthy, tired hop character, with plenty of bready malt to back. Flavour is more vibrant, with plenty of citrusy and earthy hops, and bready malt to back. More vibrant on the palate than the nose suggested. Decent.

On tap at White Dog slight haze deep golden pour with a beige creamy head. Plenty of citrus pith west coast aromas and flavors. Full bodied and smooth. Medium lingering piney bitter bite good over all.
