tap in 2016 at a festival - Pale, hazy pour. It has a mild, hoppy aroma. The flavor is moderately bitter with yeasty, wheat character and a bitter finish. There's something quite off-tasting about it though. From the other ratings, it looks like other batches were better. I guess I should re-sample if I get the chance.

Can supplied by brewery. My pour kicked up a large head of foam, but it dropped away pretty quickly. There’s a nice toasty malt smell that reaches me from a few feet away while I’m distracted by typing. The beer is more brass than red in color, and hazy like it’s been minimally filtered. Taste is lighter than the Saugatuck red ale I had last night. There is a bite back of yeast, as expected, but it works with the bitterness of Cascade hops. Malts are light and dry, but still carry some toast to them. At 5.0% abv, it works well with or before meals.

Crowler: Clear, amber, with a small white ring. Caramel, soft fruit aroma. Taste is creamy, caramel malt, a little dough. Fairly heavy body for the style. Very pleasant.

Growler: Clear, light amber with an off-white head. Oily toffee malt aroma. Taste is sweet, lightly spiced toffee malt. Again, more "oily" features along with a woody/nutty bitter. Comes off a bit watery......just so-so..... barely.
