Can at home, big thanks to SHIG for sourcing this one and passing to me, 17/05/23. Black with a good sized lasting khaki head. Nose is earthy roast, ashen tones, hint of coffee, dark malts, spice, charr. Taste comprises roast malts, cocoa powder, charr, ashen bite, pine needle, light smoke. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness. Solid bitter leaning CDA if a little over roasted.

5 week old can A: Poured a thick, crackling, slowly falling white head over a medium gold body. S: Pears and light caramel but no noticeable orange. T: There's the orange. Tart and mildly bitter orange notes blend with the pear for a nice fruity balance, countered by light wafer and caramel sweetness. Tart aftertaste. M: Soft active carbonation and a fullish body. Oily finish. O: Orange is fairly subtle and adds a tasty dimension. A bit strong for the style but good enough to buy again.
