Growler courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer pours a clear dark amber-orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and citrus. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and flavors of grapefruit and caramel malt. The finish is resiny with a lingering hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Purchased this at the Co-Op in Fairfax VA for about $5. Poured into a Riedel Brandy Snifter. A - Not much of a head was shown on a fairly vigorous pour. It’s a wheat beer for sure, Nice and hazy but more tan than most wheat beers. S - TONS of citrus, some minor hops but it’s like a sour wheat beer. Basically, just as the name suggests. T - This beer has sort of an identity crisis. It tastes like a lemon candy you’d give to a child with a subtle wheat character. It’s like lemonheads candy so a bit too sour / sweet for my tastes. I M - Nice solid carbonation but swishing it around only brings forward more syrup notes. O - t’s a solid beer but not something I’d buy again.

Growler courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer pours a dark mahogany-brown color with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits and caramel malt. Medium, smooth body with characteristics of a Belgian/Doppelbock. Notes of caramel malt, earth, bananas and yeast. The finish is dark fruits and caramel and a slight alcohol tinge. Slightly above average overall.

Caramel malt, lightly toasted, light sweetness and fairly light body on this brown. A sure winner if you’re looking for a session beer. Underrated.

Nice malty and caramel notes with a bit of spice, too. Pretty simple but easy to drink and nothing offensive. Solid beer.

Growler courtesy of a traveling colleague. Pours black with a medium somewhat foamy brown head that recedes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Medium body that is rather creamy at first but seems to get drier. Flavors of moderately bitter coffee and hops, sweet malt and chocolate. The finish is bittersweet chocolate with a coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.

Amber/copper in color. Sweet malt aroma, citrus, bread, some molasses, light toasted malts, and bubblegum that gets stronger as it warms. Has a nice bitter bite but is missing the hop flavor. Sweet malts, some citrus, light fruit, and that bubblegum again. It’s not a bad IPA, really, but that bubblegum got to me after a while and was a bit annoying. Decent, though.

Clear golden with a rocky white head. Light aroma with a hint of zesty citrus. Crisp but light in the flavor. Cereal grains and real light fruity hops. Not much going on here but there is nothing bad about this one, either. Real refreshing on a warm afternoon. Pretty decent.

Dark with a creamy beige head. Light roasted malts, some chocolate, light berries, oatmeal, and a nice sourness in the aroma. Flavor is along the same lines with some earthiness to it, too. Has a nice toasted and sour finish as a porter should. An easy drinking porter that I could dig in to for the long haul.
