Deep ruddy orange-red-brown body, medium cream head. Aroma huge bourbon, sherry, and brown sugar. Body big buttery oak and bourbon, caramel, coconut, red wine, and vinaigrette, with a tannic fruit leather finish.

Deep, ruddy orange-brown body. Aroma rather strong, with caramel, toasted cereal, and brown sugar. Body toasty, almost smoky, with toasted brown sugar, candy corn, nuts, and fruit leather. Drinks almost like an ale. I don’t believe this version was barrel-aged.

Tap at Ted’s Beer Hall - I think it’s spelled Sluagh. Pours black with a small lingering tan head. It smells of dark roast malt and chocolate. It tastes like a balanced stout with roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. Not as dry as it could be, but it’s good.

Tap at Ted’s beer hall - Pours lightly hazy reddish orange with a small off white head. Smells like roasted chocolate malt with a little caramel. The flavor is somewhat sweet with roast malt, vanilla, and chocolate. Medium body. It’s alright, but doesn’t equal a well made, more traditional stout for me.

Pint can from Citywide Liquors, 8/14/22. New brewery! Brewery # 2080. USA # 1683. Indiana # 29. Hazy orange, medium tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong spruce, soap. Pretty much dominates anything else. Taste is much the same. Some mint and orange in there. Overall way the hell off balance. Not great.

Pours hazy yellow-orange with a small head. It has a nice citrus hop aroma. It tastes of moderately bitter, citrus rich hops and has quite a lot of malty sweetness too. Very tasty.

Pours clear copper with a one finger off-white head. The aroma is mainly hops with citrus and resin. It tastes pretty aggressively bitter with citrus and pine hops. It's a good beer without particularly standing out.

Pours near black and smells of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee with an emphasis on the chocolate. It tastes of roasted malt and chocolate and while sweet, there's enough hops there to keep it balanced. It's full bodied with a lingering roast finish. Very good.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dry roasted malts with a good amount of rye and earthy dark grains. Flavor has dry dark grains and lots of rye with a strong roasted malt backbone.
