(500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark). Cloudy brown colour, large lasting head. Aroma of brown bread and some spicy sweetness. Flavour is malty but not overly sweet, some spicy and subtly roasted edges. Smooth and mellow, nothing to blow your socks off, but still a beer it is a pleasure to drink. I had it on its own, must be good with a meal too.

Sweet aroma of wheat. Cloudy and brown. Flavor is sour wheat, thin and mild. Not as sweet as the lighter version. I’m disappointed.

Standard bock aroma of caramel and malt. Full bodied and sweet. Any sweeter and it would be hard to drink. Flavors of malt, wood, and caramel. Yeast aftertaste. Good.

Overall a good hefeweizen - though a few still outshine it, you really can not go wrong with a Franzy. +++This time I sampled it from a 16.9 oz brown bottle. This beer poured a beautiful cloudy orange-golden color that whets the appetite with anticipation. The large white head has a slight orange tinge to it as well. There is a faint scent of orange peel. The scent is very pleasant but extremely faint. The flavor was very bready and yeasty. An orange peel flavor definitely shone through. A sweet yeasty aftertaste lingered.

Bottled (label: Spaten München, BB 11/2004)
Beautiful clear golden with decent white head, which is rocky and foamy, good amount of lace. Hoppy, a bit soapy aroma. Nice sweetish malty body with late hoppy bitterness. Easy to drink.

Sampled draught at Bull & Bear Inn, Stockholm.
Muddy orange, creamy head. Lihtly phenolic nose. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and some toffee. Lightly bready. Overall decent, but too clean, and offering too little out of interest.

bottle. Light sediment present, but not much. Moderate white head, light orange body. Little aroma, some lemon and water. Flavor is dull, watery, tastes like watered down bubble gum and clove, with little spicy hops and hardly any sweetness. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but hard to believe that, this stuff has been refrigerated. Will try again.

Bottle - Nice banana/citrus malt aroma. Cloudy orange yellow with giant head. Very nice banana, clove and malt flavor - well blended. A very fruity Weizen - a very consistent beer .

Draft. Hazy pale golden color with a big head. Citrus and yeast aroma. Well done wheat beer with a bit of clove spiciness and a light wheat taste.
