This is a good summer brew, nice orange color with a medium head. Citrusy (particularly pineapple) aroma. More of the same in the flavor, although slightly sweet. The directions on the bottle for serving this beer are interesting. It says to rinse the glass, pour about 3/4 of the beer, swirl the bottle, then pour the yeast. I did just that but I don't know if it helped or not. Unfortunately Hefe's aren't my favorite type of beer.

Bottled:
Pours a muddy, pale brown colour with a large head. Aroma is yeast, dough and toffee. Dry, yeasty flavour with notes of clove and dandelions.

Pale color. Aroma with spices, some citrussy banana effects. Easy-drinkable. Pleasant wheat. --- Beer merged from original tick of Franziskaner Premium Weissbier on 26 Jul 2017 at 20:10 - Score: 8

Nicely clear - golden color. Pretty zesty and lemony, with mild clovelike spice notes. Tart, refreshing.

Estery and metallic yeasty aroma. Cloudy golden orange, quite heavily carbonated, big stable rocky head. Yesty/estery and clove flavors dominate, banana and vanilla in the background. Medium to light body and a somewhat fizzy mouthfeel. Not really a bad beer, but they try to brew a beer everybody on the whole world will like - and the lowest common denominator tastes just like that.

Similar to the Kristall Weissbier, but bigger and more assertive. Quite a good example of the style, as the other tasters have clearly indicated.

Not bad- fortunately only the slightest hint at skunking (I pulled the bottle from the back of the shelf). Very well balanced and slightly creamy. Light bodied and a good match for most foods.
