355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with pink hue and a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of grainy wheat, passionfruit, orange zest, peach, hibiscus and rose. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat, passionfruit, orange zest, herbal tea, cinnamon and hibiscus in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Interesting and enjoyable.

Cheap is right, many raters have been recently entering ratings for this under the Cold Storage entry, which is wrong. Also I was surprised to see so many beers in the db called FLIPA. ?? Anyone, this is definitely the green can Florida IPA by Florida Avenue brewing co that I'm rating. It has a really nice nose. Floral upfront, like tropical flowers, but those volatile compounds fade out giving way to tropical fruit. And yet the description says just cascade? Weird. Flavor is less exciting, as it drinks and looks like a hazy, a tad lifeless, low bitterness, soft body with little malt support. It was alright.

Dullish hazy, sort of a thin, scummy head. Bright nectarine and mandarin aroma, that's actually quite nice. Definitely dry-hopped because it doesn't rock the palate the same way. Just kind of medium balance, only somewhat bright, and the malt base has a bit if yeastiness to it.

Cheap can, clear pale with a white head. Not sure what this smell is about. Hints of oddly nosed metallic mango? First taste is interesting hopless mild malt metal salt, all in a good way. Lots of fun cutting carbonation in this. Yes, no detectable hop bitterness in this interesting brew. I'd say it almost comes across like a gose. Lime starts to set in on the finish. Not bad.

A little confusing in the database, I guess florida avenue relabeled this FLIPA, Florida's IPA, but then there is also Cold Storage Florida Avenue IPA, but that's out of production. Yea there are even more beers, from different brewers, called Florida's IPA. But I think I got this in the right spot because its brewed by Florida avenue. Its just the FLIPA label that's confusing me. To compound the confusion, many are putting their rating for this into the cold storage location. WTF. OK, anyway, this stuff from the start is certainly a pale ale. It has a slightly fruity nose. I just wonder if its as brutally bitter as most IPA. At first, it actually comes across with a good deal of co2 and almost has a fruity front end. Its not till the middle that the rubbery IPA bitterness starts to sets in. Yes, this lager lover was almost fooled into thinking this was a decent pale ale but, in the end the finish would would give it away, a straight up and hit me in the jaw with an unseen unpredictable kick from behind. Long bitter IPA finish.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a very hazy orange-gold color with a white head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Light fruity esters aroma. The taste follows the nose: Fruity esters flavor in a mellow light bread malt. Okay, but not my favorite take on the style. Medium-light body. Low carbonation and low bitterness.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours an orange-amber color with a small khaki head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Typical pumpkin pie spices aroma. The taste tries to follow the nose, but the the 8.5% ABV suppresses all the flavors together into a boozy, muddled mix. No bad flavors, but...It tastes like an imperial amber ale with a hint of pie spices. Underwhelming. Medium body and low carbonation. Slick mouthfeel. Low bitterness.

As I sometimes say, this is about as good as this style can get. I'm no lover of the hazies but when done well they are distinctly potable. And by that I mean drinkable. Look it up. Well its hazy. Smells big hops, some tropical fruit but as often happens with me it sometimes renders as body odor and shoes. But it's not bad. Semi dry profile to mostly dry. Peppery resins and citrus flavors. Spicy finish. Medium bitterness.
